Ron's injury

For those who haven't heard, Ron Schwenkler was hit while riding his bike. Luckily he is doing okay with no broken bones. They are planning on attending the reunion. Please keep them in your prayers. Also please send this blog website to Audra since I don't have her email either. Thanks

Calling All Talent!

Family,
I am one of the persons responsible for putting on the family talent show. I am asking that every single family contribute to the talent show in some way. Maybe you are a poet, maybe you sing or dance, maybe you can do a skit with your family. Be thinking and start practicing something!!! We are a week and a half away from the best reunion ever! Let's all participate and make it a good one. Please let family members who are planning on coming to start practicing a talent they can share. Maybe I can get Grant to quote some movie lines!  Please pass this on!

Meals assignments for preparation and clean up will be on a large chart when you arrive.  L Jay and Teri will buy all the food and we are asking you to help with the cost, preparation and clean-up.  Those on special diets will have options of smoothies, quinoa, beans and rice, fresh vegetables and other non-wheat foods.

We will update you on how much to expect to pay per family...stay tuned.

Looking for Photographers!

I am looking for anyone in the family who is interested in snapping photos of anything and everything during this years reunion. You do not need a professional camera. At the end of the reunion I will compile the pictures and make the very first Mitchell-Harmon Reunion photo book!

Jaime is also working on T-shirts for this years reunion, so stay tuned! I am so excited!

Letter From L.Jay Mitchell

Family

We are excited to have you join our Reunion/Celebration August 9, 10, 11.  Teri and I are working hard to insure that you have a wonderful experience in every way.  There are few times when our families (children) all get together in a "happy context" where we can create special memories.  If there is a theme for our gathering it would be "Loving and Taking Care of One Another".

Attached is an itinerary or flow of events.  As you will see there is not a lot of structure, and we should all enjoy activities while being able to accomodate children and relaxing.  Some of you have not met each other, and others have only crossed paths at funerals and weddings.  Hopefully, relationships can be formed, enriched, and perpetuated.

I am personally elated for us to have this opportunity.  Please protect the dates and manage your many responsibilities so you can attend.  Please let us know if we can assist in any way.  Teri and I love and appreciate all of you.

L Jay and Teri

P.S.
Tomorrow the 40' x 48' basketball court will be finished!
